Family office leadership & corporate strategy

Geoff is the founder and principal of an Auckland-based family investment office, a role he has held since 1993. Before establishing his own firm, he was Finance Director of the property arm of Lion Nathan. His career spans senior commercial leadership, moving from corporate finance to the strategic direction of private assets.

Governance

Geoff has deep governance experience as an investor, director and trustee in private organisations and the not-for-profit sector across New Zealand and Australia. He is a New Zealand member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and recently retired from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants after a 40-year membership. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, recognising his service on that organisation's board.

Investment analysis & portfolio management

With degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business from Massey University, Geoff brings a rigorous, analytical approach to capital allocation. His experience includes detailed company research and analysis, ownership and direction of New Zealand commercial property and private tourism businesses, and management of interests in listed companies internationally.
